Color Technologies
In addition to Classic White and Almond extruded solid colors, we offer Adobe. Adobe compliments the increased demand from Interior and Home Designers for a grey-tan neutral that blends well with today's earth-tones. While many of these earth-tones emanate from the American Southwest stucco architecture, they have become popular in all regions.
Mikron Solar Reflective Coatings
When you look at what's happened in real life with beautiful colors, you can imagine additional exterior PVC window and door colors to complement other building material colors.
Mikron's Solar Reflective Coatings ™ are formulated especially for PVC application and exterior weathering durability. A unique formulation reflects solar radiation away from the surface before it can build up excessive heat. Special acrylic and polyurethane resins and select, processed pigments come together to provide a tough, durable finish that lasts. It's fully tested, and it's guaranteed.
Mikron SuperCapSR
For more durable exterior color, Mikron has developed SuperCapSR ™ - a new color technology system that provides superior solar heat-reflective performance and a highly scratch-resistant exterior color surface. This patent-pending technology creates a molecularly-fused color layer that becomes an integral part of the profile. Unlike painted vinyl, the tough acrylic color layer is highly scratch-resistant and more durable during fabrication, delivery and installation.
Historically, darker colored vinyl windows have had problems with heat absorption from solar energy. Heat build-up performance is important not only in hot climate regions, but in most regions during direct sun summertime conditions. Developed from military infra-red reflective technology, the SuperCapSR technology absorbs less heat to prevent heat-related profile distortion.
SuperCapSR profiles are available in colors including:
- brick red
- bronze
- sand
- hunter green
With vinyl windows now being installed in million dollar homes, upscale homeowners want both color choice and the durability that vinyl offers. Colors have been chosen to match popular clad wood window colors, enabling builders and remodelers to combine vinyl windows to create better value total house packages.
